Exilentia Exiff (from Abnormals Gallery-Berlin/Poznan) just examines some issues of historical and cultural context. Norms change in some societies sometimes very rapidly and sometimes very slowly and what may be seen as normal in one culture, may be seen as abnormal in another. Exilentia is fascinated by norms connected with gender and age. Why a young female naked body is acceptable and a picture of an old woman in a sexual pose violates the standards of society? Why does such a picture cause social discomfort? What is a human being nowadays?
What is self-dignity?

Conversations With the Police

With exactly a year and five days since top surgery I am forced to look back on the past twelve months with a lot of emotion.
My body has changed a lot. Despite being on T for seven months when I had surgery, malnutrition prevented it from displaying its full potential. Since then I have been institutionalized many times, been in residential eating disorder treatment for several months, and been completely certain that I have lost my mind. Due to obligatory weight “restoration” and prevention from ANY physical activity (ie. walking) I am quite disgusted with my body right now.
However, it tells my story.
This picture, like many I have posted before, is taken in my parents basement. With no job, a destroyed education, and a ravaged mental health I can’t realistically expect to get out of there any time soon.
I am a very sad person and lonely person, and I wish I wasn’t.
I hope I can tell a different story someday.
-Stay safe, love
You’ve been through a tremendous amount of pain and suffering - I wish you the best, and that extra bit of strength to conquer your demons. It’s never too late :)
